Program Mission: Crucible Steel Gallery, a multipurpose gallery located within the non-profit arts and education space known as CELLspace, is designed to give opportunity and exposure to emerging Bay Area artists through group exhibitions, collaborative explorations and workshops. In the spirit of artistic encouragement, we host an open, informal "call for art" every once in a while. This is a chance for artists to personally present their work.

How to get involved: Crucible Steel Gallery is run by a group of dedicated volunteers who meet regularly to discuss upcoming exhibitions, new projects and improvements to the space. It is these volunteers who make up the review committee, curate the exhibitions and maintain the gallery. Crucible Steel Gallery is part of the non-profit arts and education space known as CELLspace. In keeping with the mission of CELLspace, Crucible Steel Gallery holds open meetings and invites individuals to participate and become involved in the running of the gallery.

Cluster Meetings are currently every other Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm in the gallery. E-mail the gallery for info about the next meeting.

Interested in Showing in the Crucible Steel Gallery? There are several ways you can potentially show work in the gallery. You can submit a proposal for a show, give us your information to consider for future group shows, or we can put you on our contact list for call for entries. We show primarily bay area artists working in drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installations, mixed media, and video. We do not offer solo shows because we wish to give more artists opportunities to show work.
